CROMWELL EARLY LEARNING CENTRE INC

In February, Pulse Energy / Lend a Hand Foundation provided grant funding to the Cromwell Early Learning Centre (Celci). The funds supported the Centre to upgrade their old digital cameras to new technology that provides a highly efficient and effective way to capture and share tamariki learning. It allows kaiako to make notes in real time that link to a child’s learning outcomes and intentional teaching strategies; connect to wifi and upload photos and videos directly into Storypark; and play back to the children so they can assess their own learning.

“We are very grateful to Pulse Energy and the Lend a Hand Foundation for their support of our project.  The new technology has made an immediate positive impact within the Centre, and will continue to benefit tamariki learning into the future”.

DUNSTAN HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM

At the end of August, the Pulse Energy Lend a Hand Foundation provided funding for the Dunstan High School Boys Basketball team. Dunstan High School is in the small town of Alexandra. The fund helped provide costs for the team to go up to Nelson to compete in the secondary school South Island basketball tournament where they won all their playoff games and made it through to finals day. Dunstan boys got a well-deserved silver medal and headed to the nationals in Palmerston North in September.

“The boys had a memorable tournament, they enjoyed meeting and playing different teams from other towns. We would like to thank Pulse Energy and the Lend A Hand Foundation for their generous contribution in making this trip possible”.
