Partnering with Lodestone Energy
We've partnered with Lodestone Energy to support solar power in New Zealand. Pulse Energy and Lodestone Energy have formed a long-term arrangement to highlight our commitment to renewable and more affordable energy sources.
Lodestone Energy is in the process of building 360,000 solar panels across 250 hectares of land. Like us, Lodestone Energy is 100% New Zealand owned and operated.
We've bought some of our power supply from two Lodestone Energy farms, in Kaitaia and Edgecumbe that are currently under construction. The Kaitaia farm has started production and the Edgecumbe site from mid-2024.
In December 2022, there was a soil turning ceremony at the site of Lodestone Energy’s first solar farm in Kaitaia.
The ground was blessed by kaumatua from local iwi, Te Rarewa, followed by a tree planting ceremony. Beyond the energy the farm will be generating, around seven hectares of land will be reforested with native trees.
